Tell me, who knew I could miss you so much?
Like a car without cables, I miss the spark of your touch.
You were inspiration at its height; Giving me confidence in my calling.
It was obvious, from your absence, pride arrived and I commenced to falling.
I’m like a bride without the groom.
I was the sun, you were the moon.
Your light was so amazing even in darkness you illuminated.

Tell me, who knew I could miss you this much.
That my heart took a break from beating.
My eyes stopped seeing the grandeur of a gesture.
And my writing had lost its meaning.
I didn’t recognize my own reflection,
Nor able to decipher each day from his mate.
I would twiddle my thumbs, throw time away, and forget why I woke up.

You were the better part of this crazy nut.
You were the butter when I was rough.
That magic sack of charm and wit, light-hearted, ambitious, and full of happiness.
Everything good I could conceive. I miss the better part of me.
